
Georgia Tech Graduate CS Climbs to No. 6 in National Graduate Rankings
Computing at Georgia Tech continues to climb in the national rankings.
Up one spot from last year, Georgia Tech’s graduate computer science (CS) programs rank No. 6 in the 2025 U.S. News and World Report (USNWR) Best Graduate Schools report.
This is the second consecutive year Georgia Tech has moved up in the overall rankings for graduate CS programs.

“Our continued rise in the rankings is a testament to our excellence and the collaborative spirit that drives innovation at Georgia Tech around all aspects of computing,” said College of Computing Dean Vivek Sarkar.
The College of Computing is home to Georgia Tech’s graduate CS programs.
The 2025 USNWR rankings underscore Georgia Tech’s academic and research strength across computing specialties. Listed among the top ten programs for nearly a decade, graduate artificial intelligence (AI) ranks No. 6 in the latest report.
Other 2025 tech rankings include programming languages at No. 13, systems at No. 4, and theory at No. 12.
CS at Georgia Tech earned a peer assessment score of 4.6 in the 2025 USNWR Best Graduate Schools report.
The rankings are "based solely on the results of surveys sent to academic officials in fall 2024 and early 2025 in computer science," according to U.S. News and World Report.
