“SCI has always been about innovation and fostering excellence in computing education. I’m honored to step into this role and continue supporting the incredible students, faculty, and staff who make this school so special,” Hudachek-Buswell said.

SCI plays a vital role within the College, offering foundational courses to thousands of students each year and ensuring that Georgia Tech’s renowned computing programs remain strong. Since joining in 2014, Hudachek-Buswell has been instrumental in advancing SCI’s mission through her focus on student success, innovative teaching, and leadership.

Her commitment to teaching excellence has been recognized through multiple prestigious awards, including the Geoffrey G. Eichholz Faculty Teaching Award from Georgia Tech’s Center for Teaching and Learning, which honors faculty who have made long-term contributions to undergraduate education. She has also received the College of Computing’s William D. “Bill” Leahy Jr. Outstanding Instructor Award, the Monica Sweat Outstanding Lecturer in External Engagement Award, and Georgia Tech’s Education Partnership Award.

These accolades highlight her ability to combine innovative teaching practices with a focus on student success, making a lasting impact on both the classroom and the academic community.
